Upgrade
Close SortOut, download SortOut-2.3.2-Setup.exe, and install over the existing installation. Settings and Undo history are retained. Or extract the entire SortOut-Portable-Windows.zip into a fresh folder; keep all companion files together. Check SHA256SUMS.txt.
Validation and component rights
Linux and Windows tests, frozen CLI scan/apply/Undo/cache/duplicate Recycle Bin restore, native GUI, running-app upgrade refusal, actual installer wizard/Finish launch, size/icon metadata, upgrade/uninstall and user-file preservation checks passed. Portable SBOM hashes and exact corresponding Qt sources were independently audited. See PROVENANCE.json for the compiled revision and Windows CI run.
The app uses externally replaceable PySide6 Essentials/Qt6 libraries. Keep the offline notices and LIBRARY-REPLACEMENT.md; corresponding upstream sources are in SortOut-Qt-Sources.zip. Proprietary application source is not included.
Unsigned direct-download Free preview, not Microsoft Store approval or a paid launch. Windows may warn about an unknown publisher; the display name does not create a code-signing certificate. Do not disable security protections. Back up important files and test a small disposable folder first. Undo is not a backup. Updates are manual.
New Pro purchases remain disabled until merchant approval, tested payment/licence activation integration and final seller/legal details are complete. Existing privately issued legacy keys remain supported. Legal policies in the app are clearly marked review drafts, not effective purchase terms.
