Script Call 0.3.4

Adds Report a Bug in the sidebar and Help menu, addressed to alexanderhosier@squidproductions.org. Describe the problem and reproduction steps, review the full sanitized report, then explicitly copy, export or open a draft in your existing mail client. A missing/failed mail client or oversized mail link keeps the full copy/export fallback available. Opening a draft is not confirmed delivery; nothing is sent automatically.

Records minimal local diagnostics for renderer crashes, unhandled failures and interrupted sessions. A nonblocking notice after reopening offers review or dismissal. Clean shutdowns are distinguished from confirmed renderer crashes; unexplained interruptions may also mean a force quit or power loss. The private event journal is limited to 40 events/32 KB with 14-day retention. No project/script/media contents, raw error messages, credentials, personal paths, contacts or memory dumps are collected automatically. Review your own description before sharing.

The included Last Light demo, G-Casper front/back, Original Narrative templates, Production Desk import/reimport, stable IDs, storage compatibility and original issued PDF bytes remain preserved. Existing signed updates retain the same trust key and stable feed, with explicit download/restart, saving and recovery backup.

Apple Silicon Mac, macOS 13+. Existing update-enabled installations can use Check for updates, Download update, then Save, back up & restart. Older prototypes need one manual bootstrap install. Windows/Intel releases remain unvalidated.

Script Call 0.3.3

Fixes a native-update packaging issue found during actual 0.3.1 → 0.3.2 validation: a public logo file retained a private source-file mode, making it unreadable after installer ownership changes. All shipped resources now have normal public read permissions before signing. No production data or signing secrets are included or have their permissions changed. Version 0.3.2 is superseded and removed from the stable channel.

Includes signed stable updates with Ed25519 metadata, SHA-512, native signature checks, operating-system/architecture requirements, explicit download/restart choices, saving and a local recovery backup. An explicit launcher data directory is remembered outside the app so native restart keeps using the same store.

The Last Light demo remains included with eight scenes, sixteen shots, three shooting days and stable shared/import IDs. G-Casper front/back, Original Narrative, Production Desk import/reimport, saved templates and issued PDF bytes remain compatible. Original code and fictional demo fixtures are MIT licensed; original third-party and branding notices remain in effect.

Install the latest notarized version manually once if using an older update-disabled prototype. Source: https://github.com/OfficialSquidProductions/script-call

Script Call 0.3.2

Signed, notarized Mac release for the real 0.3.1 → 0.3.2 update validation. Check for Updates verifies signed metadata, native app signatures, SHA-512, operating-system requirements and CPU architecture. Download and restart require your choice, with saving and a local recovery backup before installation.

An explicit launcher data directory is remembered outside the app bundle so native macOS restart keeps using the same project store. Existing app/storage identities, template choices, issued PDF bytes, recovery filename, and Production Desk import links remain compatible.

The Last Light demo stays included: eight scenes, sixteen shots, three shooting days and stable shared/import IDs; scene eight remains unscheduled. Original Narrative and G-Casper front/back layouts and the separately labeled Quiet Hours example remain available.

Original code and fictional demo fixtures are MIT licensed; original third-party and branding notices are retained.

Website routing for scriptcall.squidproductions.org is handled separately; the app currently uses the supported signed GitHub release backend.

Script Call 0.3.1 — first update-enabled release

Script Call is now open source under the MIT license for original code and fictional demo fixtures. Existing third-party and branding notices remain in effect.

Includes the refined G-Casper front/back layouts, Original Narrative templates and Production Desk import/reimport. The Last Light and legacy demos remain included with their stable scene, shot and import identities.

Signed stable updates verify the per-app Ed25519 metadata signature, native app signature, SHA-512, operating-system requirements and CPU architecture. Download and restart require your choice; installation saves and creates a local recovery backup.

Install this notarized version manually once to establish the update public key. Later releases can update through the app. Existing project storage, template choices, issued PDF bytes and recovery filename remain compatible.
