v0.3.0
What's Changed
Features
- Support version tags with 1-5 parts (major, minor, patch, build, build2) instead of a fixed 3-part scheme
- New
--tag-cleanup-pattern/-coption to strip or rewrite tag names (regex or sed-likes/pattern/replacement/) before version parsing, while still copying the original tag names - New
--inverse-specificity-orderoption to treat more specific versions (e.g.1.2.3.4.5) as greater than less specific ones (e.g.1.2.3), instead of the default behavior - Hierarchical grouping and "latest" calculation now done recursively for every version level
- Original (uncleaned) tag names are now shown alongside calculated versions in output
- Verbosity flags (
-v,-vv,-vvv) for progressively more detailed logging (source/dest tags, digest comparisons, grouping, retries) - Calculated tags are now output as a sorted list
Build / CI
- Migrated local dev environment to Nix + direnv, replacing ad-hoc setup scripts
- Improved test script with virtualenv activation checks, plus new lint tests
- Docker Hub description update step added to CI, with README length-limit fix
Tests
- Added extensive unit test coverage for version parsing/comparison/grouping and calculation
- Added integration tests against mocked registries covering 3, 4, and 5-part versions
Chores
- Various dependency updates (Python, GitHub Actions, Docker base images)
