We are excited to announce the Alpha release of PyLantir, your dedicated client for the Atlantis PBEM game. This initial version provides essential functionalities, laying the foundation for future enhancements.

• Report Loading: Easily load and parse JSON turn reports to initiate your game management.
• Map Visualization: Explore the hex map generated from the loaded report, offering a clear view of the game landscape.
• Unit Overview: Access detailed information about units within each hex, facilitating strategic planning.
• Hex Information Display: Click on individual hexes to view pertinent details, including terrain and associated units.

🛠️ Known Issues

• Limited Data Scope: Currently supports only basic hex information and units. Advanced features are under development.
• User Interface Refinements: Some UI elements may require further polishing for an optimal user experience.
• Platform Compatibility: The installer is configured for Windows. MacOS and Linux support are planned for future releases.

📥 Installation Instructions

Download the Installer

Download the latest PyLantirInstaller.exe from the Releases page on GitHub.

Run the Installer

1. Locate the Installer:

   • After downloading, navigate to the location where PyLantirInstaller.exe was saved.

2. Execute the Installer:

   • Double-click on PyLantirInstaller.exe to launch the installation wizard.

3. Follow Installation Prompts:

   • Proceed through the installation steps by following the on-screen instructions.
   • Choose the desired installation directory and complete the setup.

4. Launch PyLantir:

   • Once installed, you can launch PyLantir from the Start Menu or the installation directory.

📝 How to Get Started

1. Load a Turn Report

   • Open PyLantir.
   • Navigate to File -> Open Turn Report.
   • Select your JSON turn report to load the game data.

2. Explore the Map

   • View the hex map generated from the report.
   • Click on individual hexes to see detailed information and units.
