Known (Connection) Issues

My personal experience is that timeouts and disconnects are a normal behavior on the FlashAir. FAD2 tries to handle these problems as good as possible. But sometimes it just cannot.

Just try again

Each communication is done up to five times automatically. If that did not work FAD2 acts depending on the command that failed:

  • Image Download: A message will Pop up. You have to decide how to handle this
  • Thumbnail Download :This will just be ignored and the next Image will be processed
  • Delete an Image after download :This will also be ignored.

Honestly I am sorry about that (You can't imagine how angry I got on testing, when this stuff happened all over again). I can't do anything about it

No, seriously: Did you?

The FlashAir goes into a sleep mode after a while to save battery power. This is done regardless if you are accessing it or not. So turning off the power of your camera and on again (and wait about 10 seconds) solves it, if you get the message, that the FlashAir cannot be found.
