Cloud Resource Management Enhancements & Bug Fixes
Overview
This release focuses on enhancing the resource management functionalities, including improved handling of multiple resources, error handling, and data management. The update also introduces a more robust interaction between the client-side and server-side, ensuring that data is processed and validated correctly.
New Features and Improvements
1. Handling Multiple Resources
- The service layer now supports saving multiple
Resourcesobjects in a single request. This is particularly useful when batch processing data, reducing the need for multiple API calls. - The
saveResourcesmethod in theResourcesServiceImplementationclass now accepts and processes a list ofResources, ensuring that all resources are saved in one transaction.
2. Enhanced Error Handling
- Improved error handling in the
saveResourcesmethod to catch exceptions more effectively. The implementation now throws detailed exceptions if issues arise during the save operation, helping developers quickly identify and address problems. - The application now handles JSON parsing errors gracefully, particularly when deserializing data from client requests.
3. Data Deletion and Updating
- Added functionality to remove resources from the database based on their ID.
- Updated the
updateResourcesmethod to allow for bulk updates of resource data, ensuring that all provided resources are updated efficiently.
4. Enhanced Data Retrieval
- Introduced a method to calculate the total price for resources associated with a specific user. This helps in quickly determining costs based on resource usage.
- Added a method to retrieve all users associated with a specific vendor by their resource ID.
- Enhanced the retrieval of resources based on user ID, providing more detailed information and ensuring that only relevant data is returned.
5. MySQL Data Management
- Introduced a query to delete records from
cloud_resource_infowhere theresource_idlength is 3 characters. This feature helps maintain a clean and consistent database by removing potentially invalid or short resource IDs.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue where the application would fail to process JSON arrays correctly, particularly when the server expected a single
Resourcesobject. - Fixed minor issues related to safe update mode in MySQL, ensuring that data modification queries are executed safely and securely.
Known Issues
- No known issues in this release. Please report any bugs or issues you encounter via the Issues section on GitHub.
