OmniBioAI Studio v0.8.0-beta — Platform Consolidation & Security Hardening
This release consolidates the OmniBioAI ecosystem and hardens its security foundation. It is HIPAA-aligned technical-readiness hardening; it is not a HIPAA compliance or certification claim.
Platform consolidation
- All ecosystem repositories consolidated onto clean
mainbranches
Security and identity
- Fail-closed behavior when token-revocation state is unavailable (Auth, Control Center)
- HMAC-signed IAM identity caches (API Gateway, Billing, LIMS, Model Registry)
- Workbench plugin API authorization and run-ownership enforcement; insecure dev object routes removed; sensitive-data egress gate for external LLMs
- Dedicated service-only credentials for delegated TES → ToolServer execution and registration
- Owner-scoped TES personal runs and fail-closed TES work-dir isolation
- RStudio / VS Code host ports restricted to loopback; Dev Hub RAG router bypass closed
- Frontend builds guarded against secret-bearing
VITE_variables
Audit and integrity
- Auth audit integrity signing and audit-atomic Auth mutations
- Least-privilege
audit_reader/audit_writerdatabase identities - Audit-delivery failures made observable instead of silent
Redis and runtime
- Per-service least-privilege Redis identities; canonical ACL bootstrap (
redis-acl-init) and finalized startup topology - Protected Redis backups with ACL-state and restore verification; exporter
CONFIGaccess removed - Encrypted MySQL backups with restore proof
Tools, workflows, and plugins
- Scaffold reference-db plugins replaced with real implementations; plugin registry duplicates repaired
- Plugin READMEs standardized across the Workbench plugin catalog
Documentation and operations
- Test-suite documentation improved across repositories; service catalog updated
- CI release pipeline restored (placeholder environment for new required compose variables)
Known / deferred to v0.9.0
Remaining Trusted Tool Catalog verification, multi-tenant production validation, and HIPAA-aligned technical-readiness evidence closure are intentionally carried forward to v0.9.0. Remaining HIPAA technical-readiness closure is tracked in #100.
