@Onaga00 Onaga00 released this 25 Oct 15:19

First public pre-release of ProjectStonehenge.

Every mission boots, but only missions 1–7 have been tested extensively, so expect bugs.

Compared with the original on PS2, the port lets you change graphics settings while playing, from OPTIONS → SCREEN SETTINGS → GRAPHICS.

Using your PCSX2 saves

The port uses PCSX2's folder memory card format, so you can bring your saves over:

  1. Start the port once: it creates %LOCALAPPDATA%\ProjectStonehenge\saves\.
  2. Close it and copy the BASLUS-20152AC04 folder from your PCSX2 folder memory card into that saves folder.

Warning

Save compatibility is still in beta. Back up your saves before copying them.

Changes since the last test build (0.9.4)

  • No more stutter on a new PC or driver: the port prepares its shaders at startup and keeps a cache in %LOCALAPPDATA%\ProjectStonehenge\cache\.
  • Higher frame rates with v-sync off: rendering now runs on its own thread.

Known issues

  • Performance is still being optimised; some configurations may have an unstable frame rate.
  • In a few missions, such as mission 6, small areas of terrain may show visual glitches.

Not yet available (work in progress)

  • VS mode (coming in a future version)
  • Debugger tools to explore cut content
  • Disc versions other than NTSC-U (SLUS-20152)
  • Basic mod support

More details are in the README.

🤝 Contributing

Feedback is very welcome! If you find a bug, or something that doesn't behave like the original game, please open an issue.

When reporting a bug, it helps to include:

  • what happened and what you expected (a screenshot from PCSX2 of the same moment helps a lot)
  • the mission or menu where it happened
  • your system specs and the port version (run ProjectStonehenge.exe --version)
  • the log of that session (%LOCALAPPDATA%\ProjectStonehenge\logs\session.log)
