Pre-release Notice:
This release (v5.2.1-fix) is a pre-release build of PleasantUI. Features, APIs, and controls may be incomplete or change in future releases. Experimental and preview additions are marked accordingly.

What is New

  • CrashReportDialog control for crash reporting (experimental).
    • Implements stylable feedback properties and supports sending/saving crash reports.
  • DownloadPanel control for download management (experimental).
    • Initial support for downloadable information management, labeling, and chunk status customization.
  • LogViewerPanel for real-time log display (experimental).
    • Introduces log filtering and searching, tooltip text properties for UI elements (AllFilterText, AutoScrollTooltip, CopyAllTooltip, ClearTooltip, CloseTooltip, DebugTooltip, SearchPlaceholder, EmptyText, EmptyDescription).
    • New PanelWidth default (400), dynamic tooltip/content bindings, and new axaml styling.
  • TerminalPanel for command-line interface functionalities (experimental).
    • Adds RunningText, ClearTooltip, CloseTooltip, InputPlaceholder properties.
  • PleasantUIToolKit resource dictionary class and singleton instance property (Instance) added.
  • New download status customization properties via ChunkInfo.cs for better clarity in downloads.
  • Initial support for labeling UI elements and chunk status in DownloadPanel.
  • New axaml templates/styling for CrashReportDialog, LogViewerPanel, StepDialog (including CornerRadius styling).
  • Implemented OnApplyTemplate method in PleasantUIToolKit controls.

Improvements

  • Enhanced chunk handling in DownloadPanel for better download status representation.
  • Improved styling for VGUI controls and added styles for CrashReportDialog and StepDialog to match design guidelines.
  • Refined log filtering/search in LogViewerPanel, and updated filter fallbacks to use AllFilterText property when null.

  • CrashReportDialog: new customization properties; tab labels in BuildTabs now generated dynamically; status messages use corresponding string properties.
  • DownloadPanel now applies localized text for newly added chunks.
  • ChunkInfo implements new text properties in Info string for downloads; replaces hardcoded values.
  • TerminalPanel: Enhanced IsRunning state to update StatusText using RunningText, and improved input box padding and layout.
  • PleasantUIToolKit.axaml.cs: Added UpdateVGUIStyleManually(bool isVGUI) and improved UpdateVGUIStyle(bool isVGUI) for theme management.
  • CrashReportDialog.axaml: Improved appearance with CornerRadius binding, dynamic button content, enhanced tab style visibility.
  • StepDialog.axaml: Improved dynamic styling for corner radius.

Bug Fixes

  • DownloadPanel: Resolved incorrect progress bar updates for large files.
  • CrashReportDialog: Fixed submission failures from incorrect API endpoint usage; hardcoded default tab labels now use customizable labels; fixed user message box placeholder and static email error messages to use bindings; addressed incorrect tab visibility logic.
  • LogViewerPanel: Corrected missing log message timestamps and updated tooltip texts to use template bindings.
  • TerminalPanel: Resolved input lag with large terminal outputs; fixed StatusText not updating on running state; tooltip and placeholder issues fixed to use template bindings.
  • VGUIControlThemes.axaml: Addressed layout inconsistencies across different platforms.
  • ChunkInfo.cs: Replaced hardcoded strings in Info property with status texts.
  • StepDialog.axaml: Corrected CornerRadius for proper dynamic styling.
  • PleasantUIToolKit.axaml.cs: Fixed null reference errors during style updates.
  • DownloadPanel: Corrected localized status texts for newly added chunks.

Breaking Changes

  • DownloadPanel.cs: Updated UpdateVGUIStyleManually method signature.
  • CrashReportDialog.cs: Changed SuccessMessage and FailureMessagePrefix properties.
  • StepDialog.axaml: Changed ShadowBorder CornerRadius property to TemplateBinding for dynamic styling.
  • LogViewerPanel.axaml: Tooltips now use TemplateBinding; update customizations if you relied on static values.
  • TerminalPanel.axaml: PlaceholderText of PART_InputBox changed to TemplateBinding.
