Clipman CLI 0.10.0 Development Preview
Pre-releaseClipman CLI 0.10.0 Development Preview
An optional, read-only way for agents to find relevant clipboard history on request. Thanks to Samuel Proulx for the scoped-search suggestion in issue #65.
- Search server-backed plain text and links by a literal term and creation-date range, with optional group and device filters. Retrieve relevant results by their exact IDs.
- Agent reading is disabled by default. Enable it explicitly for a selected CLI profile only after deciding what history you are comfortable sharing with your AI provider.
- Includes a Clipman History agent skill and setup guidance for turning relevant clips into summaries and drafts. Returned content is source material, never instructions to execute.
- Bounded JSON output distinguishes incomplete results and server failures. Reads do not change your clipboard, history, timestamps, pending uploads or server rules.
Download ClipmanCli-0.10.0.zip and use the binary for your operating system and processor. The package includes Windows x64/ARM64, macOS Apple Silicon/Intel, and Linux x64/ARM64/ARMv7 builds, manuals, the optional skill and binary SHA-256 checksums.
See Agent Integration for setup and a complete example. Secrets, file history, Rich Text and templates are excluded from agent reads, but ordinary history can still contain sensitive information. A skill is not a sandbox; restrict commands in the agent host when technical isolation is required. Searches still download and decrypt server blobs before filtering.
This remains a pre-1.0 CLI preview. It requires no Clipman Server or graphical-client update and adds no MCP endpoint, mobile integration or automatic history stream. Those broader parts of issue #65 remain open. Issue #80 and PR #68 are unrelated and unchanged.
Before returning to an older CLI binary, revoke agent reads with agent permissions --read deny so its profile remains compatible.
