What's new in Clipman 1.8.1
- Windows now honors clipboard privacy signals before automatic capture.
- Clipboard updates marked with
Clipboard Viewer Ignore,ExcludeClipboardContentFromMonitorProcessing,CanIncludeInClipboardHistoryset to zero, orCanUploadToCloudClipboardset to zero are excluded from Clipman's text and file history. - When sounds are enabled, privacy-signal exclusions play the exclude sound.
This is a cooperative privacy improvement: it helps with apps and password managers that mark their own clipboard data as not suitable for history or sync. If an app places only ordinary text on the clipboard with no privacy signal, Clipman cannot reliably distinguish password-field text from normal copied text.
