No account needed anymore. Create World now offers three paths:

  • Create local-only — a world that lives entirely in your vault: full folder structure, all 22 element types, templates, wikilink graph, validation, folder import/export. Zero network calls; nothing leaves your disk. Its World.md reads API Key: local and explains how to go online later.
  • Create with account — unchanged.
  • Take online — publish an existing local-only world in one flow: enter your account email + PIN, pick the world, and the plugin validates it, creates it on onlyworlds.com under your account, links your vault's copy, and uploads your elements (IDs and links preserved). Validation runs first, so a broken world never leaves an empty orphan online.

Sync commands understand local worlds: manual save and upload explain how to enable sync, rename and delete do the local half and say so, and auto-sync skips silently instead of raising errors on every edit.

Also fixed: a world with no key in World.md could silently sync through the plugin-settings key into a different world. The local token is an explicit state that never falls back.

Thanks to the user whose question prompted this — most of your work is done in Obsidian, and now all of it can be.
