Tables, cards and a relationship canvas for your world, and safer saves.

New

  • A Bases file per world. Download World, Join World and Create World write <world>.base next to World.md: an All elements table with a Type column, and a table plus a cards view for each of the 22 types, with the element's picture as the card cover. On by default (Settings); the command Write Bases file rebuilds it. The plugin only ever overwrites its own unedited file: a base you changed is kept, and you are told once; rebuilding saves your version as <world> (your copy).base first. Rename World moves the base with the world.
  • Draw relationships on a canvas. On an element's note, the command writes <Name> — relationships.canvas beside it: the element in the centre, one card per linked element with the field name on the arrow, the elements that link back on the left (on by default in Settings), unresolved ids as text cards. Running it again redraws the plugin's own canvas; one you moved cards in is saved as (your copy) first.
  • A new note that links to another new note saves. Save Element creates the linked notes first, after a dialog that lists what goes first (at most 50; beyond that, Upload World). Auto-sync does not create ahead; its notice says Save Element can.
  • Deleted elements stay deleted. A note kept for an element deleted on onlyworlds.com is never brought back without your word: Save Element asks "create it again?", auto-sync refuses with a notice, Upload World lists them and asks once. A link to a deleted element is left out of that save; the note keeps it.
  • Rename note when the element's name changes (on by default): after Save Element changes a name, the note is renamed; your Obsidian setting decides whether links are updated. Auto-sync never renames.

Fixed

  • Text fields round-trip byte for byte through the plugin (leading and trailing spaces, blank lines, tabs, CRLF) on save, upload and export. Two exceptions, stated in the README: a line starting ### starts a new field, and a code fence must close.
  • A mention's label is kept exactly; an unresolved [[X]] stays as typed.
  • Import OnlyWorlds folder writes [[Name]] links like Download, twins as [[Twin (1)]]; a file whose type it cannot tell is listed as failed, not written; re-importing on a cold cache no longer duplicates notes.
  • The folder export writes unset fields as the server serves them and keeps an imported element's key order.
  • Add Custom Field keeps CRLF in the last value.
  • Copy World and Upload World read only notes, never a base or a canvas.

Good to know

  • Auto-sync hears only edits typed inside Obsidian; a folder written by another tool syncs on Upload World.
  • A base is rebuilt from your world on Download; a stale copy from another device is replaced unless it carries your edits.
  • A guest's vault that needs a resync is told to run Download World.

Built on branches by executors with a failing test before each fix; every round read cold and walked in a real vault; 407 tests on the joined head; the three assets fetch-verified from this page after publishing.
