A fix release for 3.5.0, built from the round-C findings of a cold read and a real-vault walk.

Fixed

  • A ### line or a code fence inside your text no longer invents a field or swallows the ones after it. Such a line gains one backslash on the way into a note (\###, \~~~) and loses it on the way back, so the value round-trips byte for byte; inside a closed code block nothing is touched. A save is refused only when an open fence would swallow a heading, and the notice names the field and the heading. Manage Fields and Update World Format leave such a note unchanged and say so; Copy World leaves it out.
  • Text before a note's first heading is kept.
  • Prose mentions of same-named elements ([[Twin]], [[Twin (1)]]) resolve to the note the link points at, in a save and in the folder export, also in a vault with two worlds.
  • A frontmatter key one letter from a real link field (friend for friends) gets a notice naming the likely field; nothing is changed.
  • Links to elements deleted on onlyworlds.com are left out of a save and named, where the server used to refuse the save. An element the server reports as deleted is read as deleted without a feed walk; a manual Save still offers to create it again, and that takes it off the deleted list even when the world cannot be read at that moment.
  • The deleted list is read once per world at a time, follows Download's cursor after a mid-session Download, and starts over after a server restore.
  • After auto-sync saves a changed name, the note keeps its old file name and says so; the next Save Element renames it, also after a restart. Rename World carries the pending rename.
  • A --- frontmatter close with a trailing space no longer adds a blank line at the head of the description.
  • Update World to Latest Format keeps a final newline; Rename World clears the old folder from the once-only notice and recomputes folder counts; the canvas hash treats a card pointed elsewhere or a note with no id as a change, and a rename alone never makes a copy.

Said in the README: what \### means in a note; a hand-written body list is description text in an element note.

What a 3.5.0 user sees once, on the first save after the upgrade: hand-typed text before the first heading sends a whitespace-only change; a \### or \~~~ line typed before this build keeps its backslash on Save, while Upload World sends it without; raw links to deleted elements are left out and named.

Known, left: a 3.5.0 note whose open fence swallows a heading stays refused until the fence is closed; downloaded elements export keys in the plugin's order.
