4.0.0: the whole life of a world
The toolkit now covers the whole life of a world, on whatever you have (notes, documents, a world folder, an OnlyWorlds account):
- Structure it: parsing, modeling, schema
- Grow it: link, survey
- Play in it and keep it true: context, resolve (new)
- Build on it: dev, api, council, project-setup
New
- context: design how your world is loaded into an AI session, fresh and scoped each time, so long chats stop forgetting and a character can be played from what that character knows.
- resolve: design the update after each session, so what happened in play or on the page is proposed as changes, reviewed, and written back into the world.
- knowledge/principles.md: the shared rules every skill follows.
- knowledge/world-memory.md: the session loop, how other tools approach it, and the failure modes to avoid.
- Keeping history in git (knowledge/world-folder.md): commit after each session, branches as alternate timelines, and how to do this safely with a folder linked to an account.
Changed
- parsing rewritten: a source inventory with per-document coverage, a world rules file for your own modeling rules and taxonomy, and a world folder as the default output.
- ow-agent trimmed to orchestration.
Fixed
- The api skill did not load (a frontmatter error).
- The dev skill no longer puts a PIN into public builds, and credentials no longer pass through chat.
- API details brought up to date: the change feed, bulk uploads and retries, status codes, PIN rules, the links route, SDK 4.x.
- World folders: the required world id, the retired
spatial/folder, and editing a folder linked to an account so edits sync. - Schema examples and field checks.
Install or update: /plugin marketplace add OnlyWorlds/toolkit, then /plugin install toolkit@onlyworlds.
