v0.1.0 - Deterministic capability execution with --id
Overview
Version 0.1.0 introduces explicit capability execution through the new --id flag, making CLI behavior deterministic and automation-friendly.
This change removes ambiguity between positional arguments and interactive execution, allowing scripts and tools to reliably invoke specific capabilities.
New
Explicit capability selection
A new --id argument allows direct execution of a capability without entering the interactive selector.
Example:
ontobdc run --id capability_name
This is particularly useful for:
- CI pipelines
- automation scripts
- agent-driven execution
- reproducible workflows
Improvements
- The CLI execution flow now prioritizes an explicitly provided capability ID
- Interactive mode is only used when no explicit execution parameters are provided
Why this matters
Before this change, argument parsing could create ambiguity when flags and positional arguments were used together.
The new execution model ensures:
- predictable CLI behavior
- safer automation
- clearer intent when running capabilities
Compatibility
This release maintains the interactive execution experience while enabling deterministic invocation for automation scenarios.
