Can the installer create a 'cancel all transfers' dialogue? #2559

That's because some Open-Shell binaries were still loaded in Explorer. So Explorer had to be stopped during installation. And this was imo the reason you saw some message about transfers displayed by Explorer. In any case, the need for Explorer restart is pretty normal when updating Open-Shell. |

Thank you for the reply. The points I am trying to press are as follows.

Any idea whether it comes from Explorer? Or perhaps from Everything? If the latter, I can send a bug report to the creator of that program.
In my most recent installation of OpenShell, as in at least some previous installations of OpenShell, the installer: told me that some programs had to be closed (on pain of a reboot); asked me whether I wanted the installer to close them; failed to close them (when I assented) and told me that it had failed and, yes, requested a reboot. I did not reboot. Rather I used the Windows task manager to close the programs - which it did without prompting for any authorisation. Then the installation succeeded and no reboot was needed. |
Uh oh!

As I was installing OpenShell 4.4.202, a small window pop up warning me that proceeding would 'cancel all transfers'. The window seemed not to say what program it belonged too. Nor was 'transfers' (file operations?) explained. There was a button or two in the dialogue. But before I could click one of the buttons - or even read them properly - the window disappeared.
I note also that the installer was unable to close the 'Everything' program or even Windows Explorer.
EDIT: thank you for the new release.
