Description
Describe the bug
I've noticed that icons added to Open Shell keep disappearing. At first I questioned whether or not I had added the icon myself, but started taking note of when I would add a program and when I first noticed that they were missing. It seems a lot of applications that "self update" (1Password 8 beta right now is a perfect example, it's updating every few days) will disappear after they are updated. I've also seen this behavior with Chrome, Firefox, Excel, Windows Calculator and many other applications.
My understanding is when you pin something to the open shell start menu, it just copies the shortcut to a separate folder - is this an incorrect assumption?
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Pin a start menu shortcut to open shell
- Update the app (or do something that moves/replaces the executable)
- Shortcut is removed from open shell list of pinned apps
Expected behavior
Shortcut should remain in place. If the path has changed it should become an "invalid shortcut" and point to a non-existent executable.
Version:
- Open-Shell: 4.4.164
- OS: Windows 10 Pro 20H2
