What's New

This release refactors mdheaders into a self-contained single-file script for simpler installation and distribution.

Changes

  • Single-file architecture: Merged library into main script — no external dependencies
  • Pure Bash: Replaced seq with native Bash parameter expansion
  • BCS compliance: 100% Bash Coding Standard compliance
  • Performance: Moved local declarations outside loops

Installation

Quick install:

sudo curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Open-Technology-Foundation/mdheaders/main/mdheaders -o /usr/local/bin/mdheaders && sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/mdheaders

From source:

git clone https://github.com/Open-Technology-Foundation/mdheaders.git
sudo cp mdheaders/mdheaders /usr/local/bin/
