TEI simplePrint

TEI SimplePrint is an entry-level customization of the TEI Guidelines: http://www.tei-c.org/release/doc/tei-p5-exemplars/html/tei_simplePrint.doc.html. Although its main focus is the encoding of print material from the Early Modern period, it has proven particularly well-suited to encoding the vast majority of monographs published by OBP.

The only change has been the addition of the TEI element <media>, understandably not included in the original customisation. Occurring inside the <figure> element, <media> (with its attributes mimeType and url) has been used to tag audio and video files embedded in the book content.
