Release Cycle

We need to think about how we should release this software. We can do rolling releases, but this makes it difficult to package up and release in stable forms. I think it would be better to have regular, fixed release cycles. This page is for the documentation of our release cycle, pending further discussion. I have filed issue #16 to bring it up for discussion.

A release cycle of six months seems very doable, after a initial release from our source. In between people can download and build from git.
