StreamProxyCockpit is a local stream proxy for the Open-Enigma2 plugins that provide FAST channels: PlutoTVCockpit, RakutenTVCockpit and SamsungTVCockpit. It sits between the receiver's media player and the stream servers and makes the streams play and record the way a normal TV channel does.
What it does for these plugins:
- Streams whose audio is a separate stream are muxed into single transport stream segments that the receiver's decoder plays.
- Streams with ad breaks are made continuous, so the picture does not distort and a recording does not end at the first break.
- Recordings of a channel are written from one continuous stream, shared by every recording and timeshift of that channel.
- The address of a channel is looked up when the channel is played, not when the bouquet is written, and renewed when it expires.
You do not use it directly: it is installed with the plugins that need it, and each of them has a setting Stream proxy to switch it on or off.

| How it works | The path from a bouquet entry to the stream: lazy addresses, the service extensions, the proxy's endpoints, muxed and unmuxed streams, recording |
| Settings | The setup screen, and the Stream proxy setting of the plugins that use it |
| For plugin authors | Registering a provider, registerChannel and its arguments, bouquet entries |

The package enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-streamproxycockpit is installed together with the plugins that need it. It depends on python3-pycryptodome (for AES-128 encrypted streams) and uses the system ffmpeg to mux (stream copy, nothing is transcoded). Restart Enigma2 afterwards.
