Wasmtime v48.0.5

Vendoring of upstream Wasmtime v48.0.5. Focused Swift compatibility adaptation: explicit read-only/read-write filesystem modes; legacy read/read and read-write/read-write callers remain source-compatible. Independent or unknown legacy permission masks now fail with a clear configuration error instead of silently granting broader access. See COMPATIBILITY.md for migration. No unrelated wrapper features.

Validation

  • macOS ARM64: release build; 83 tests; 100% line coverage.
  • Linux ARM64: release build; 83 tests.
  • Public Swift API comparison: 6 reviewed compatibility additions; no removed symbols.
  • Fresh exact-version SwiftPM consumers pass on macOS and Linux ARM64 before release.
  • Linux/Windows x86_64: not runtime-validated (optional runners unavailable).
  • Existing Apple XCFramework and Linux/Windows artifact platforms preserved.

Upstream commit: 563544c6296610b1b3fbbe2e4643f9999899ec66. Release asset identities and SHA-256 digests were frozen and verified by vendoring.
