OpenFC-Lite Rev 3
RP2354B flight controller, 30.5 x 30.5 mm mounting, 6-layer. Input range moves to 3S-8S.
Power
Both bucks move from LMR51430YFDDCR to LMR51635YDDCR (U6, U16, C45262770).
| Rev 2 part | Rev 3 part | |
|---|---|---|
| Operating VIN | 4.5-36 V | 4.3-60 V |
| Absolute max VIN | 38 V | 63 V |
| Output current | 3 A | 3.5 A |
| Reference | 0.6 V | 0.8 V |
At 8S a full pack is 33.6 V. The old part's 38 V absolute maximum left 4.4 V of headroom, which is process tolerance rather than transient margin.
The reference change moves the feedback dividers: R22 6.49k to 8.87k (10 V rail, 9.82 V) and R24 13.7k to 19.1k (5 V rail, 4.99 V). Same SOT-23-6 land pattern, different pinout, so both buck corners were re-routed. Inductors stay 4.7 uH.
Gyro supply
U15 LP5912-1.8DRVR placed, together with D9 and R39. All three existed in the Rev 2 schematic but were never placed in the Rev 2 layout, which carried an unused NCV8187AMT180TAG footprint instead. That is why the gyro indicator never lit on Rev 2 hardware while the other three did.
Also in this revision
- Rev 2 ground shorts fixed on GPIO0-3, GPIO28 and GPIO31. UART0, GPS pads, M1/M4, UART1 and I2C0 are back on their intended pins, so the Rev 2 rework pin mapping in the Betaflight target can be retired.
- IMU is BMI270 (U9) in schematic, BOM and board.
- Panel project removed. Production sets come from
OpenFC.kicad_pcbdirectly.
