This release provides the initial firmware version for the redesigned OpenEPT Energy Profiler Probe (EPP) hardware.
Main additions include:
- Support for the new DAC6578 external DAC.
- Programmable overcurrent, undervoltage, and overvoltage protection thresholds.
- Programmable current-sink control.
- Support for the on-board EEPROM and persistent configuration storage.
- Updated analog-output and low-level driver infrastructure for the new EPP hardware.
- Dedicated hardware bring-up firmware mode for testing and validating newly assembled EPP boards.
- Bring-up tests for the main on-board peripherals and programmable protection circuitry.
This is the initial firmware release targeting the new EPP board revision and provides the foundation for further configuration, calibration, and parameter-management functionality.
Release Assets
This release includes the following prebuilt binaries and documentation:
EPP_Binary_v2_0_0.bin– prebuilt firmware binary for normal operation of the new EPP board.EPP_Bringup_v1_0_0.bin– dedicated bring-up firmware for initial testing and validation of newly assembled EPP boards.OpenEPT_EPP_Fw_Doc_v2_0_0.zip– firmware documentation package for the new EPP firmware release.
The provided .bin images can be programmed directly to the EPP board without rebuilding the firmware from source.
