OpenEPT_GUI_V2_1_0
OpenEPT GUI v2.1.0
This release of the OpenEPT Graphical User Interface adds programmable load control to the desktop application for the Energy Profiler Probe (EPP), together with a number of workspace and analysis improvements.
What's new
- Load tab — control of the EPP current sink in three modes: Static (constant current), Standard Wave (ramp, sawtooth, triangle, square, sine generated from amplitude, period and number of points) and Custom Wave (a table of current chunks with duration, repetitions, groups and random deviations).
- Energy point markers in waves — any chunk can carry a marker at its start, end or both; markers are captured by the probe at the exact chunk boundary and appear on the plots like markers from a real device under test.
- Waveform library and wave files — waves can be saved by name and reused, and imported/exported as plain-text wave files. Library waves are also available as discharge profiles on the Charge/Discharge tab.
- Plots as dockable windows — voltage, current and consumption plots can be rearranged, floated, maximised and their layout is remembered; plots can be saved as PNG/SVG, and the X axis can be locked across plots.
- Log window — the device log is a separate dockable window with filtering (all messages, DUT info, energy points) and a clear action. DUT info messages sent through FEPLib are shown as a separate category.
- Data Analyzer — consumption statistics per marked segment (duration, charge, energy, share of cycle, nesting), single markers listed within their segment, battery-life estimate from the measured cycle, faster loading of large recordings. The Data Analyzer statistics are a preview and will continue to change.
Fixes
- Profiles recorded after pause/stop/new profile no longer mismatch energy points with samples.
- Loading a recording that is still being written no longer produces misaligned data.
- Several plot stability fixes with empty or very short recordings.
Binaries
openept_2.1.0_amd64.deb— Debian package for Debian/Ubuntu-based Linux distributions.OpenEPT-2.1.0-x86_64.AppImage— standalone Linux application, no installation required.OpenEPT_Setup_2.1.0.exe— Windows installer.
Requires EPP firmware with wave generation support (Load service and device wave commands).
