A packaging fix for 0.6.20260911. No gameplay, audio, or accuracy behavior changed; if Sonic 3 & Knuckles started for you on the previous build, nothing here affects it.
- Sonic 3 & Knuckles now starts in the native Windows, macOS, and Linux downloads. The native builds embed only the resources their GraalVM configuration lists, and the S3K load-time manifests were missing from that list. The lookup returned nothing, the S3K module failed while building its load-time profile, and the game crashed at start-up under the default
FASTload-time simulation. Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 were unaffected, as was the universal JAR, which always carried the manifests. - The window icon is now present in native builds as well; it had been dropped from the same configuration.
Nothing else differs from 0.6.20260911. If you are running the universal JAR, this release changes nothing for you.
Reminder: OpenGGF remains alpha software focused on research, preservation, and accuracy. Sonic 3 & Knuckles is still incomplete overall, and known gameplay and audio differences remain. You must supply your own ROMs; no game assets are included. The universal JAR requires Java 21.
See the 0.6 changelog for full details and the release summary for coverage and known limitations.
