In the current GBL metadata schema (1.0) dc_source_sm is used to represent parent/child relationships and activates the Data Relations widget.
There are use cases where the dc_source_sm values might be full URLs for external links. In these cases we would expect that GBL would render the full URLs in the interface.
Currently there is only support for SLUGs as values in this field.
