0.8.0 — Strict CI gates and catalogue fixes

30 September 2026. Minor on 0.7.0.

Upgrade and regenerate CI with opentide setup ci. Validation and lint are now strict, deploy skips a plan whose platforms have no tenants, and an Azure pipeline declares a pool. An object file with no uuid fails validation. get_chaining returns threat, objective, and rule lineage.

Regenerate an existing workflow with opentide setup ci <github|gitlab|azure> --yes. On Azure Repos, also add a build validation policy on the default branch so a pull request sets Build.Reason to PullRequest. The pipeline file cannot create that policy.

Added

  • opentide deploy --skip-unconfigured exits 0 when every platform in the plan has no [[tenants]] block (#408).
  • Generated GitHub deploy jobs map bundled platform credentials from secrets. There is no OPENTIDE_SECRETS variable (#408).

Changed

  • Generated gates are opentide validate --strict and opentide lint --strict (#409).
  • Azure pipelines set pool.vmImage to ubuntu-latest and trigger every branch. Staging stays gated on Build.Reason PullRequest (#398).
  • lint prints ISSUES when findings exist. Exit code stays 0 unless --strict.
  • MCP get_chaining returns threat → objective → rule lineage. A non-empty threat.chaining map stays in graph (#407).

Fixed

  • Object YAML with no uuid fails the schema check as missing_uuid (#397).
  • Detached-HEAD deploy --plan STAGING fetches origin instead of list index out of range (#402, #415).
  • Inflight prune creates .opentide/inflight before git add (#403).
  • setup skills installs the full skill tree, package AGENTS.md, and current authoring skills (#399, #405).
  • setup repo keeps empty scaffold directories in git, does not hardcode Sentinel, and warns when README flags are ignored (#400, #404).
  • generate docs writes section indexes for an empty folder (#401).
  • Installation pages name 0.8.0 as the latest release (#406).
