0.8.1 — GitLab query validation gates deploy

1 October 2026. Patch on 0.8.0.

Upgrade and regenerate GitLab CI with opentide setup ci gitlab so query validation gates generate and deploy, and the inflight shell matches ShellCheck. GitHub and Azure already waited for those checks. This patch restores that gate on GitLab. It does not change accepted input, CLI output, or exit codes.

Regenerate an existing GitLab pipeline with opentide setup ci gitlab --yes.

Fixed

• Generated GitLab pipelines start generate only after object validation and every validate query job. A failed query check no longer starts deploy (#429).
• The inflight shell quotes $CI_DEFAULT_BRANCH and exits if cd into the worktree fails. A document job with no commands is omitted, instead of an empty script GitLab rejects (#430).
