Head detail at walls between the corner 2bd units

At those walls between the corner 2bd units, could we do something like the following?...

We're just trying to accommodate some large pipes that run up these walls.

If I'm not wrong those are the south facade shear walls.

There we need the rim board to transfer shear between floors, so we need it attached to walls above and below. We'll need to find another solution.

i think we'll just do a furred out plumbing wall, and be done with it.
