Openly Useful is an independent open-source collective building practical public tools, reusable infrastructure, and systems people can inspect, adapt, and improve.
We work by four simple principles:
- Open by default — the work, the reasoning, and the path to contribute should be visible.
- Useful before impressive — real needs come before novelty.
- Evidence over claims — decisions and outcomes should be verifiable.
- Maintained in public — projects have visible status, ownership, and a path forward.
- Conductor Swarm — model-agnostic orchestration for skills, models, agents, workflow recovery, and verified completion.
- openlyuseful.org — the collective’s public website.
- CiteWire — open knowledge infrastructure, in development.
- SportsMCP — practical open interfaces for sports data and agent workflows, incubating.
Use the work, question it, improve it, or bring a need worth solving.
