  • Manual facility arrivals now wait until you have secured the truck. With Facility stopping assistance off, pickup and delivery menus no longer open merely because the truck has slowed to a crawl. Stop completely and set the parking brake; you can then press T to enter the facility. With the assistance on, its final prompt now names Enter or controller A according to the controls you are using.
  • Roadside achievements now match where you actually stopped. Pulling into a weigh station or repair shop no longer earns Sweetheart of the Truck Stop, and taking a motel room never counts as sleeping in the truck's bunk.
  • Stopping assistance now handles every facility entrance consistently. The former destination and planned-rest-stop options are one Facility stopping assistance setting for pickups, deliveries, planned rest stops, and required weigh stations. It stays independent of assistance presets, preserves either old opt-in, holds a controlled roll through a facility lane, and brakes at the entrance instead of coasting to a stop short. Open scales now give you real time to use their lane, and checking in cannot be repeated to advance the clock more than once.
  • Freight Fate no longer repeatedly scans every speech backend while it is open. The speech worker now checks backend health at the intended three-second interval, reducing competition with NVDA on lower-powered computers while still checking immediately when the game regains focus.
  • Closing Freight Fate now hands control back immediately on Windows. The game hides its window as soon as saves, sound, and speech finish instead of waiting for Windows to synchronously dismantle the final SDL window.
  • The voice keeps up with the game again. Since the voice moved onto its own track, sentences that should have cut each other off were instead spoken one after another in full -- the voice ran seconds behind what the truck was doing and kept the speech engine busier than it ever used to be, which could also make your screen reader feel sluggish while the game was open. Newer announcements now silence the stale ones still waiting in line, the way they always did before, so the voice stays current and the speech engine gets its breath back.
  • Closing the game hands your screen reader back right away. The same speech backlog could also make shutdown drag on, because quitting waited for every sentence still lined up before letting go. Quitting now drops whatever was left unsaid and releases the voice after at most the sentence already being spoken.
  • Losing a radio station lands on a live station, not on silence. When the station you were listening to faded out of range, the radio used to drop to a silent satellite channel -- the music just stopped, with one spoken line and nothing after it. The radio now retunes to AFN Humphreys The Eagle, which is receivable everywhere, and says so. Streamer-safe mode still lands on the silent channel, because its whole point is that nothing with a music license ever reaches your broadcast.
  • The drivers board names the truck you are actually in. A company driver's board line used to show the truck their career file remembered -- usually the old yard mule -- instead of the tractor the carrier assigned them, so a driver in the presidential sleeper still read as driving the yard mule to everyone online. The board and Discord now name the assigned tractor, the same one every other screen reports.
