Changes since the previous snapshot

Added

  • Live weather can now leave your career calendar running. The new Live weather controls calendar setting keeps today's real date when on. Turn it off to keep live city conditions while your career date advances at midnight and the seasons pass normally. Live conditions are adjusted to the career season so summer snow and cold-season thunderstorms do not slip through. An established career begins its independent calendar from today's date when you turn the setting off, avoiding a jump back to its old hidden date; a new career still begins on March 21.

Fixed

  • The engine load now follows throttle smoothly. Engine effort remains audible when you accelerate or ease off, while manual releases and adaptive-cruise corrections blend gradually instead of making the engine volume jump. Automatic shifts retain a brief, gentle unload and recovery.
  • Terminal weather now agrees with the live report on the road. Time and weather uses the real station temperature even when live weather does not control the career calendar. If the first observation is still loading, the terminal says so instead of announcing a modeled temperature that may change when you start driving.
  • Interstates stop enforcing a side street's speed limit mid-route. A handful of highway legs still carried a 25 to 40 mile per hour sample in the middle of the corridor, picked up from a nearby city street or ramp during the map sweep -- so the GPS would suddenly announce a 35 limit on the open interstate and enforcement would treat highway speed as speeding. Every such sample is gone (no US interstate mainline posts below 45), and an automatic check now keeps them from ever coming back. Small-town limits on US and state highways are real and unchanged.
