⚡Release 1.4.1 - Threshold efficiency reward, better logging and documentation 📚⚡
This is a relatively small update, bringing a change to only the efficiency (response speed) part of the scoring mechanism. Additionally, some of the documentation has been updated and the validator setup has been improved for validators running on AWS.

What has changed for miners?
Previously, when scoring response speed, the best possible score threshold was calculated based on the median response speed. We did this initially as we did not yet know what speeds live miners would achieve. After having run the update for a week, we have now decided that a speed of 0.2 seconds or above is fast enough, meaning if a miner responds within that timeframe, they receive a perfect speed-score. This will prevent miners from getting boosted too much for being in the same datacentre as a single validator. The bottom threshold for the worst speed is still calculated based on the median, to account for networking instabilities.

For validators
For existing validators, no changes other than pulling the latest version of the codebase are required. For new validators, please reach out to us on Discord, and we will help with setting up and choosing a validator location, to ensure a global spread.
