Public beta: the public install is now the front door
PyFFmpegCore v0.2.2 is the documentation and evidence fix-forward for the
first public beta. The package remains a safe, explainable FFmpeg task runner:
it checks local capabilities, previews exact plans, applies explicit execution
policy, probes outputs, and writes privacy-redacted receipts.
Problems this release addresses
- Every primary install path now uses the exact public PyPI release instead of a source revision.
- The README and docs link the signed release, exact workflow run, checksums, and both PyPI attestations.
- A real 63-second terminal cast and accessible transcript prove public install,
doctor, synthetic media, explained plan, progress, output facts, and receipt validation. - The recording script now remains inside its required 60–90 second evidence window on fast machines.
Reproduce the demonstrated workflows
- 63-second public terminal proof
- Preserve every video, audio, subtitle, attachment, and data stream
- Web-compatible editor/camera video
- Fit a video under an exact upload limit
- Normalize spoken audio with measured loudness
- Before/after media facts and redacted receipts
Compatibility and immutable evidence
- Exact release wheel validation: https://github.com/OthmaneBlial/pyffmpegcore/actions/runs/32955455841
- Supported Python, OS, architecture, and FFmpeg policy
- Fixture and real-media test methodology
- Wheel Trusted Publisher attestation
- Source distribution Trusted Publisher attestation
The attached wheel and source distribution are the same files tested by the
release matrix. SHA256SUMS and artifact-report.json make their identity
independently inspectable.
