This is the first stable release of BMAC - Build My App Cloud.
The complete BMAC workflow and script set has been manually tested from an x64 Ubuntu administrator workstation against a BMAC Proxmox cluster. This release marks a known-good, tested state of the project suitable for others to download and use.
BMAC provides an opinionated system for building and managing a self-hosted Proxmox HA environment for web applications, including:
- Proxmox host provisioning and cluster management
- Production HA VM creation and management
- ZFS replication and HA failover
- Lightweight staging VMs cloned from replicated production state
- QDevice setup, removal, and replacement
- Host addition for vertical scale-up, graceful removal, and failed-host purging
- Production VM placement management
- Disk inventory, expansion, replacement, and decommissioning
- Cluster, host, guest, storage, and QDevice diagnostics
- Tailscale-based administrative networking and SSH access
- HAProxy-based ingress routing, and VRRP+keepalived-based egress routing
- Application deployment and CI/CD workflows (sample app provided, and simple CI/CD workflow described)
There is no BMAC build step. Download the source archive for this release to an x64 Ubuntu administrator workstation and follow the instructions in README.md.
Future development will continue on the main branch. For a tested, known-good version of BMAC, use a published release.
