This beta is a broad correctness and stabilization release after the main codebase audit.

Highlights

  • Fixed polar LAEA scaling and cross-projection EPSG:4978 line clipping.
  • Hardened projections, datum transforms, WKT matching and UTM zone selection.
  • Improved GeoJSON parsing/encoding, WKB/WKT/TWKB validation and unlocated-feature handling.
  • Corrected predicate, overlay, buffer, line/polygon and antimeridian edge cases.
  • Expanded graph, query, tile and clustering coverage.
  • Added property-based and Shapely differential tests. Coverage is now 90.35%, with an 87.5% CI floor.
  • Added API compatibility, formatting, coverage and DocC gates, plus Apple simulator builds.
  • Added benchmark baselines and regression comparison.
  • Added a complete DocC catalog, companion-package guides and a dedicated 3.0 migration guide (https://github.com/Outdooractive/gis-tools/blob/main/Sources/GISTools/GISTools.docc/MigrationGuide.md).
    This remains a source-breaking 3.0 pre-release. Android and WebAssembly are not continuously verified in CI.
