A balanced keepInventory alternative. Sleeping in a bed saves a hidden snapshot of your inventory and XP; when you die you wake up with that loadout and drop only what you picked up since.
Dreambound is 100% server-side. Players do not need to install anything, and it works in singleplayer too.
- How It Works — the checkpoint, the run, and what you actually lose
- Rules and Edge Cases — the exact keep/forfeit rules, including the ones that surprise people

Commands —
/dreambound preview,status,clear,reload -
Configuration — every key in
dreambound.properties - Mod Compatibility — Universal Graves, Trinkets Updated, Ohmega
- Multiplayer — how sleeping works with more than one player
- Troubleshooting — when something did not come back
- Sleep. Your inventory and XP are photographed.
- Go out. Mine, fight, explore. Your loadout is safe.
- Die. You wake up holding what you slept with.
- Go back for the rest. Everything you gathered after sleeping is on the ground where you died.
The one thing worth internalising: the snapshot is not updated by finding better gear. If you sleep in iron, find netherite at noon and die, you wake up in iron and the netherite is lying at your corpse. Sleep again — or enable allowDaytimeCheckpoint — whenever your kit meaningfully improves.
