More multi-site fixes and hardening. See the v2.0.0 release notes for the multi-site launch and the rest of the feature set.

Multi-Site Agent update: this release updates the On-Site Agent - update it on each external site (re-run the agent install script, or use the in-app update prompt). One-time for this release, not every release.

Multi-Site

  • Per-tab site context - each browser tab pins its own site via a ?site= URL, so you can keep different sites open in different tabs at once.
  • Alert "View" links open the site the alert came from (including the main site), pinning only that tab instead of the browser-wide default.
  • Site name shown next to the Dashboard header when multi-site is enabled.

On-Site Agent

Monitoring

  • External sites keep collecting through tunnel and WAN outages. The agent buffers probe and SNMP data while the tunnel is down and replays it on reconnect, with end-to-end acks so nothing is silently lost. Charts backfill the gap automatically.
  • Alerts aren't silently suppressed by agent clock skew - if an external site's agent host clock is off, its samples could look too old and quietly skip alerting; that's now surfaced instead of silent.

Console & SSH Proxy

  • Switching to an offline external site is instant, not a hang - a dead tunnel is detected fast and the site shows a "waiting for the site's agent" banner instead of freezing.
  • The Ignore-SSL-errors setting is shown as forced-on for agent-connected consoles (it can't apply through the tunnel), instead of a toggle that does nothing.
  • Agent-owned dial policy - the proxy only dials site-local addresses by default, with an optional proxyAllowedCidrs pin and an agent-side dial audit log.

Monitoring

ISP Health

  • Path-shift detection accepts noisy transition windows - a step whose transition median dips just outside the band is no longer discarded.

Network Performance

  • Flaky LAN target advisory - a dismissible hint on LAN latency charts when a non-gateway/non-AP device shows loss that's usually a measurement artifact (roaming, ping deprioritization), linking to its target row. Gateways and APs excluded.

Fixes

  • Mobile scroll no longer locks up after backgrounding, and the top bar's hide/reveal is smoother.
  • Returning to the app on mobile keeps your place - a backgrounded app used to go back to the homepage/dashboard when resuming, now it correctly returns to where you left off
  • Dismissed "install as an app" and channel-analysis banners stay dismissed across site switches.
  • Live WAN chart no longer clips hover tooltips at its edges.
  • 2D Flow Map fits devices tighter on the canvas instead of behind the scrubber bar.
  • ONT external refresh button disables with a spinner while polling, preventing double-taps.
  • Per-device SSH: setting a key path clears any stored password; a blank password on edit means "keep," not "clear."

Installation

On a beta build? See "Switching from a beta build" in the v2.0.0 release notes to get back on the stable track.

Windows: Download the MSI installer below

Docker:

docker compose pull && docker compose up -d

macOS (native, recommended for accurate speed tests vs Docker Desktop):

git clone https://github.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer.git && cd NetworkOptimizer && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh
# or if you already have it cloned
cd NetworkOptimizer && git pull && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh

Proxmox:

bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer/main/scripts/proxmox/install.sh)"
# or if you just need to update
pct exec <CT_ID> -- bash -c "cd /opt/network-optimizer && docker compose pull && docker compose up -d"

For other platforms (Synology, QNAP, Unraid, native Linux), see the Deployment Guide.
