v4.10.12 — next
More dependable local memory across backup/restore, task handoffs, and Claude Code/Codex hooks.
What users will notice
- Backup/export and restore/import preserve memory status, creation dates and metadata across supported entry points.
- Updating a goal no longer makes old completion or blocker text appear freshly stated; task fields retain their own dates.
- Lesson reminders include the recorded fix and memory reference. Failed or unanswered edits no longer become completed-work memories; successful edit results are captured as neutral observations.
Quality improvements
- HTTP memory removal reports missing memories and non-matching observations as failures.
- Hook and package manifests agree with the installed runtime files. Shared API/data, messaging and decision-reason regressions remain covered.
Upgrade notes
This is an opt-in prerelease on npm next; latest promotion remains separate.
npm install -g @pcircle/memesh@nextHTTP clients must handle 404 for a missing memory and 400 for a non-matching observation instead of relying on the former successful no-op response.
Verification
npm run verify: real exit 0 on the clean candidate; build, release gates, 5607 non-UI tests, and packaged installation/protocol smoke passed. Nine platform-specific cases were skipped locally.- Installed hook/manifest integrity and applicable backup/restore and host effects retain their original evidence boundaries; affected changes received independent review.
- Dashboard UI functional verification is explicitly skipped for this release. BEL/RLO display robustness remains a deferred limitation.
