NexDrop Android v1.4.4 — FINAL PRODUCTION RELEASE

This is the final, stable production release. All development is complete. The NDT1 engine, transfer protocol, WebRTC fallback and pairing architecture are byte-identical to v1.4.3 — this release ships the finished connection-clarity and preview UX.

Fixed (UX polish — no engine changes)

• Compact poster-scale preview cards for media files, including a fix for the giant-card layout bug and thumbnail cache-hit recovery on re-render.
• Truthful readiness state: the readiness indicator now reports the real network state, with a real fix instead of a false "ready" claim.
• Explained permissions with recovery paths, an honest nearby-devices empty state, a connect help sheet, truthful send/receive checklists, and dark-contrast footer fixes.

Unchanged

• NDT1 protocol, wire format, frames, handshake, discovery, resume and durability contract — byte-identical to v1.4.3.
• Transfer engine (TurboSender, TurboReceiver, DurableWriter, Frames, Handshake, DiscoveryBeacon), WebRTC fallback and pairing architecture — byte-identical to v1.4.3.

Verification (CI/integration)

• Full validation on the production build: apk (assembleRelease, release signing), startup-smoke (API 36 emulator: install + launch + 26 instrumented/transfer checks on THIS signed APK), release verification — all PASS.
• APK signing: APK Signature Scheme v2 + v3 verified, certificate CN=NexDrop Release, SHA-256 fingerprint 11cb2ab82ba751fea04d101bd3a1498b852581f999056a3bc371e47e326a861a.
