Niramay v2.1.0

Traditional Kitchen Remedies — Public Release

Niramay is a privacy-first, offline-friendly web app for exploring traditional Assamese and Indian kitchen remedies, medicinal plants, seasonal living guidance, and everyday wellness knowledge. Everything runs locally in your browser — no account, no tracking, no cloud AI.

Live app: https://pdfly-source.github.io/niramay/

Highlights

  • Universal multilingual search — one command palette (Ctrl+K) across remedies, symptoms, plants, and tools, with typo-tolerant phonetic matching
  • English · অসমীয়া · Roman Assamese — full interface, search, and assistant in all three
  • Safety-first local intent handling — severe-symptom red-flag cues are detected before anything else and always take priority
  • AI assistant improvements — structured responses, dynamic follow-up suggestions, confidence levels, honest fallback for out-of-domain questions
  • PWA improvements — installable, offline-capable, square-safe icons, correct manifest
  • Responsive mobile UX — keyboard-safe layout, smart scroll, focus-trapped dialogs, Escape handling, aria-live announcements
  • Official Niramay visual identity — the complete uploaded logo lockup across all branding surfaces
  • Light & Dark mode — parchment and ink-green themes
  • Accessibility improvements — focus management and screen-reader announcements in the assistant and palette

Quality

  • TypeScript: PASS
  • AI engine test suite: 115/115 passing
  • Production build: PASS
  • Browser QA (navigation, search, AI, dark mode, responsive): PASS
  • Console errors: 0

Notes & Known Limitations

  • Physical Android/iOS device QA has not been performed — voice input and on-screen keyboard behavior have been verified in simulated browser QA only.
  • Search results appear in one ranked list (with type filters) rather than visually grouped sections.
  • The repository does not yet carry an open-source license; a license decision is pending.
  • Niramay provides educational information about traditional household practices. It is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice.
