The referenced PHP manual page was removed, but a version of it exists in the Zend legacy docs.

Just one question - does the Zend legacy docs also offer language agnostic links ? If so, that would be preferred.
(and yes, I'm aware that quite some links in the sniff docs may need updating to be made language agnostic, but that's for another day)

The referenced PHP manual page was removed, but a version of it exists in the Zend legacy docs. This was permanently removed from the PHP manual, because the docs team only wants to maintain the last two major PHP versions.
