The AutonGUI's grid units

You may have noticed that X and Y values become quite large. This is because the AutonGUI's units are not in a standard measurement. They are the distance (in feet) away from zero (defined as the spawn point) times 100.

Examples:

  • A distance of 1'6" would mean 1.5 feet or 150 grid units.
  • The default spawn point of {X=300,Y=100} means it is 3 feet away from the bottom corner of the field in the X direction and 1 foot away from the bottom corner in the Y direction.

What is the spawn point's "Angle" exactly?

The spawn point's angle can be anywhere from -180 to 180. An angle of 0 degrees means that it the robot starts pointing up the field (or to the top of your screen).

Examples (Assuming the default spawn point of 300,100):

  • An angle of 90 would mean that the robot starts pointing at the triball underneath the red climb pole.
  • An angle of -90 means that the robot starts pointing at the red loading zone barrier.

Order of execution (and compilation)

The order in which the AutonGUI adds commands goes as follows:

  1. Move to the next point in order
  2. (Not working) (If not zero) Rotate the amount of degrees defined in "Deg to Rotate"
  3. Set the intake's velocity to the amount defined in "Intake Velocity"
  4. (If not zero) Delay for the amount of milliseconds defined in "Delay After"
