TermFlow 0.1.4
TermFlow 0.1.4
What's new
- ✅ Auto-update session survival. Updating from 0.1.2+ keeps your shells and agent CLIs (Claude Code, Codex, …) running through the update — the app reattaches to them automatically after relaunch.
- 🛠️ Fixed: dev builds no longer hijack the Start-menu shortcut. A development/portable TermFlow now registers its own "TermFlow Dev" identity, so the installed app's Start-menu entry always launches the installed app.
This release ships Windows x64. macOS and Windows ARM64 remain on 0.1.3.
TermFlow is a modern, cross-platform terminal built for the age of AI agents. Beyond being a fast, polished terminal emulator, it exposes a local developer API (REST + WebSocket) and a built-in MCP server, so tools and AI agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini can inspect, drive, and automate your terminal sessions programmatically.
Why TermFlow?
- 🤖 Built for AI-driven workflows — a Model Context Protocol (MCP) sidecar exposes terminal tools directly to AI clients: create terminals, run commands, read live screens, orchestrate multiple sessions.
- ⌨️ Agentic CLIs just work — modern keyboard protocol support (Kitty /
modifyOtherKeys/ win32-input-mode) means Claude Code, Codex, and other TUI agents get correct key handling that many terminals still get wrong. - 🔌 Automate everything — a local REST + WebSocket API lets scripts and dashboards spawn shells, send input, capture output, and monitor activity across every tab and pane.
Highlights
- 🔄 Multi-tab & split panes — resizable panes, drag-and-drop tabs, multi-window detach, per-pane maximize (zoom)
- 🐚 Multi-shell — PowerShell, CMD, Git Bash, WSL, bash/zsh/fish
- 💾 Session & layout persistence — tabs, panes, and scrollback restored on restart
- 🎨 Color schemes & per-agent theming — automatic scheme switching when an AI agent takes over a pane
- 🔔 Activity notifications — native toasts with click-to-focus when a long-running command or agent needs you
- 🔎 In-terminal search, clickable paths/links, command history aware of your working directory
- ⚡ Fast — GPU-accelerated rendering (WebGL) on a lightweight Tauri 2 + Rust core
- 🔄 Auto-update built in — new versions install seamlessly from signed GitHub releases
