Soundboard v1.2.2

Soundboard v1.2.2 fixes repeated audio reconnection while selected devices and
streams remain healthy.

Highlights

  • Keeps the Audio Ready and Microphone live status stable during harmless
    Windows audio endpoint property notifications.
  • Re-enumerates endpoints after meaningful device notifications and reconnects
only when the effective microphone, VB-CABLE, or monitoring route changed or
    became unavailable.
  • Prevents delayed fault cleanup and status callbacks from an older audio
session from overriding a newer healthy session.
  • Continues to serialize initialization and reconnect attempts and disposes the
previous audio pipeline before opening its replacement.

Compatibility

Audio routing, microphone mixing, monitoring, sound playback, global hotkeys,
settings, and device selection retain their existing behavior. Existing
libraries and settings remain compatible without a schema change.

Installation options

  • Soundboard-Setup-v1.2.2-win-x64.exe is the per-user installer. Its normal
    destination is %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Soundboard.
  • Soundboard-v1.2.2-win-x64-portable.zip is the self-contained portable
    release.

Both options preserve user settings, the sound library, hotkeys, and managed
audio under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Soundboard.

Validation

The Release x64 application build completed with zero warnings and errors.
Package verification checks the release versions, artifact contents, hashes,
architecture, dependency versions, privacy boundaries, and installer scope.
Idle audio stability, physical device recovery, audible routing, and Discord
transmission remain manual checks because they require the user's installed
audio devices and applications.

Download verification

SHA256SUMS.txt contains SHA-256 hashes for the installer, portable ZIP, and
release manifest. The application and installer are unsigned; Windows
SmartScreen may display an Unknown Publisher warning.
