Kadena Pact Community Foundation Roadmap

This roadmap outlines the key milestones and priorities for the Kadena Pact Community Foundation. It helps contributors, adopters, and community members understand our focus and progress.

Foundation Setup

  • Set up the foundation repository with Wiki and GitHub Pages.
  • Publish Mission, Vision, About, and Contribute pages.
  • Establish project board (Kanban style) with user stories and issues.
  • Define roles and responsibilities for maintainers and contributors.

Community Infrastructure

  • Launch GitHub Discussions with categories: Questions, Ideas, Proposals.
  • Add issue and pull request templates.
  • Set up CODEOWNERS for Wiki and Pages.
  • Promote channels for community engagement (Discord, social links).

Documentation & Standards

  • Draft initial style guides, security standards, and naming conventions.
  • Publish “good first issue” and contributor-friendly tasks.
  • Begin documenting initial contract categories (fungible tokens, NFTs, escrow, wallet, etc.).
  • Ensure Wiki and Pages are synchronized and up to date.

Core Community Content

  • Expand Wiki with detailed guides and examples.
  • Add curated starter templates for developers.
  • Encourage community contributions through pull requests and discussions.
  • Track adoption metrics (stars, forks, contributors).

Engagement & Growth

  • Host community calls or workshops to showcase progress.
  • Promote “how to contribute” and highlight examples of adoption.

  • Identify high-priority issues for enterprise-ready modules.

Foundation Milestones

  • Complete first batch of curated starter templates.
  • Publish adoption guide for businesses.
  • Review and update Wiki/Pages content for clarity and completeness.
  • Celebrate first contributors and community milestones.
  • Plan objectives for future phases based on feedback and lessons learned.
