Cleaner hand-off with Steam

PadSense hides your physical DualSense while it is bridging, so games see only the virtual controller. Two rough edges in that hand-off are fixed:

  • Starting PadSense while Steam already had the controller left Steam holding the physical pad — it still showed up in Steam, and could fight the virtual controller over rumble and lighting. PadSense now detects this and takes the controller back.
  • Quitting PadSense did not return the controller to Steam until you restarted Steam. It is handed back immediately now.

The controller is also released properly on exit: microphone off, rumble, trigger effects and lighting cleared. If a previous session was interrupted, leftover hidden-device entries are cleaned up on the next launch.

Serving over the network

  • Starting up already in network mode now shows the connection details and the exact usbip attach command straight away, instead of only showing them when you switch modes from the menu.
  • More reliable detach when a remote machine disconnects, so a stale connection no longer keeps trying to re-attach in the background.

Install

Download the installer below and run it. It checks for and upgrades its prerequisites (usbip-win2 and HidHide) if they are older than the bundled versions.

Windows 10 (1809+) or Windows 11, 64-bit.
