Google safe browsing
Web sites can be infected with malicious code, or even purpose built for malicious purposes.
Google's Safe Browsing technology was created to identify unsafe or suspicious websites and inform users and webmasters to give them the chance to protect themselves.
The "Sites Linking In" count shows the number of sites which link to the site you are interested in. A number of further criteria including traffic and link location are used to make the this metric more meaningful.
See here to find out more about how "Sites Linking In" is determined.
